On September 19, 2018, Bundor Valve, the president of Zhengzhou Chamber of Commerce in Luoyang City,  together with other representatives of the Chamber of Commerce, went to Jiankou Town in Luoning County to visit the villagers of Sishang Village on the autumn rainy day, sending them the Mid-Autumn Festival blessings.

Located in the south of Jiankou Town, Luoning County, 3 kilometers from Jiankou Government, Sishang Village in Luoning County is the assistant target of Luoyang municipal commercial and industrial association. It has 12 villagers’ groups, totaling 1 872 households, covering an area of 1,550 mu, with 62 Impoverished people from 29 households. In 2018, we plan to realize the poverty alleviation goal – lifting 15 families and 43 people out of poverty, maintaining the poverty rate under 1.1%. There are 28 party members and sound party committee teams in the village.

DoraHacks Blockchain & New tech Hackathon was held in Boston as scheduled from Sept. 22 to Sept. 23. Scintillating, has created Delphus, a blockchain-based clinical trial management system. During the hackathon, they implemented a new feature to Delphus, namely a user interface that allows patients to see data handoffs by their healthcare provider or clinical researcher. Their ambition is to alleviate the decreasing participation in clinical trials caused by lack of data transparency.

The runner-up went to Team EasyContract which generates smart contracts using natural language processing, followed by Team Acid tied with Team WePay, the former designing a system with autonomous distribution of media content using BYTOM, and the latter bringing cash micro vendors into digital currency ecosystems.

In addition, several projects have also been highly recognized by the guests and judges, such as HypeFactors, a crypto currency discovery and research platform, and NOMOS, a weighted multi-tier decentralized voting platform, etc.

On the morning of September 26, the Green Development Innovation Conference, jointly sponsored by the China Association for Science and Technology, Ministry of Ecology and Environment, Ministry of Housing and Urban-Rural Development and Sichuan Provincial People’s Government, commenced in the city of Suining, Sichuan Province. The Green Development Innovation Conference (hereinafter referred to as “Green Tech Conference”) focused on “green plus” and was comprised of the four major segments of “conference,” “exhibition,” “competition” and “service”. Why did the conference select Suining as the host of the event? “The hosting of the Green Tech Conference in Suining is a sign of full approval of the feats we achieved in the continual implementation of transformative development, innovative development, leapfrog development and green development”. Shao Gejun, the Secretary of the Suining Municipal CPC Committee, indicated that greenness has already risen as a development advantage of Suining and a proud brand of the city. As early as 2007, Suining was among the first to propose the concept of “green development,” and confirmed it as a strategy that will guide the progress of the whole city. Suining used greenness to transform development concept and enhanced development model, thereby bringing practical prosperity and substantive happiness to the people that inhabit this land. From the point of view of the Secretary of the Suining Municipal CPC Committee Shao Gejun, green development is a kind of development model characterized by a high degree of science and technology involvement, low resource consumption and low environmental pollution, and its true realization mandates innovation, especially innovation in science and technology.
 
On the afternoon of the 26th, the “3rd Scientific and Technological Achievement Announcement Conference,” an important component of the Green Tech Conference, was held as scheduled. The 2018 World Canal Cities Forum is scheduled for October 11-13 in the city of Yangzhou, China.
