“As a team, we are very passionate about the value of early childhood education and see the need to tell the stories of early childhood professionals to raise awareness for the field,” says Ron Spreeuwenberg, CEO of HiMama. “We came up with the ‘Nuggets of Wisdom’ project for the 2017 Rocky Mountain Early Childhood Conference to give a voice to those in the field and to pass down inspiration and knowledge to future leaders in early childhood education.”
RMECC is collectively organized by the Colorado Association for the Education of Young Children (CAEYC), Denver’s Early Childhood Council (DECC), and the Early Childhood Council Leadership Alliance (ECCLA) to provide a forum for stakeholders in the field to come together to network and learn. RMECC 2017 is the sixth annual event and was attended by more than 2,500 educators, administrators and advocates.
Highlights of this year’s conference included opening keynotes by best-selling authors and keynote speakers Holly Elissa Bruno and Steve Spangler. The event also had quality exhibitors where attendees had the opportunity to purchase and demo the latest products and services to support better outcomes for children. Attendees also benefited from the various topical professional development workshops such as “Leadership, Management & Administration,” “Family & Community Partnerships,” “Child Growth, Development & Learning” and “Teaching Practice, Literacy & STEAM” to name a few.
