The BLC Law Center is a local bankruptcy law firm that is based in San Diego. The mission of this law firm is to provide legal help for the residents of South California who have to face tedious financial situations. They also offer legal aid to individuals who are facing an overwhelming amount of debt or foreclosure. They have now announced the Scholarship Contest for the law students and college students who write an essay about a perfect solution to deal with the student loan crisis.
It is true that the education loans for students have become a huge burden for the families in the US since the year 2012. The outstanding amount of student loans has exceeded both credit card debt and auto loans. The debt of student loans is three times more than the debt of credit cards, as several outstanding debtors of student loan fail to pay due to reasons like temporary suspension, deferment, forbearance and so on. This is why BLC Law Center Scholarship Contest requires the students to write an essay discussing the alternative solutions to overcome the crisis of student loan, as making amendments to bankruptcy code alone will not solve this issue. This scholarship will be awarded to the students whose essay recommends the best alternative solution for ending the student loan crisis. BLC Law Center will award $500 scholarship to the winning essay two times in a year. The students who are pursuing 4 year or 2 years courses in law colleges or other colleges are eligible to enter this scholarship.
The essay should explain about the student topic in an elaborate way and discuss the alternatives in a detailed way. The essay to avail the sponsorship must be a minimum of 750 words. The winner of the BLC Law Center Scholarship Contest will be chosen based on the student’s persuasion style, the way of presenting the argument and overall writing ability. The Spring deadline for this scholarship is 20th December 2017 and the Fall deadline is 31st July 2018.
