Abraham Lincoln University Offers Federal Financial Aid for Additional Programs

Online University Expands Options for Financing Students’ Tuition

April 18, 2018 – Since April 2017, Abraham Lincoln University (ALU), an online school that focuses on providing flexible and affordable programs to working professionals, has offered federal financial aid to qualifying students enrolled in the Juris Doctor program. Recently, however, ALU announced that the University was approved to offer federal financial aid for the Master of Science in Law, Bachelor of Science in Legal Studies and Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice degrees to those who qualify. Students also have the option of signing up for a 0% interest payment plan, ultimately helping them to go into little to no debt.

Jessica Park, Dean of ALU School of Law, stated that adding financial aid as an option for students furthers the University’s mission of providing flexible, affordable and accessible education to working adult learners. “Higher education, especially legal education, is prohibitively expensive in both time and tuition, but imagine the impact when people gain their education affordably and flexibly, even while working. While many graduates attain education with heavy debt impacting their early career decisions, ALU graduates can advance or expand their careers with minimal debt due to low tuition and financial aid options.”

Higher education is becoming more and more of a necessity for employers searching for the right candidate. ALU, therefore, focuses on providing a learning environment where students from all backgrounds can attain an affordable education while keeping their current jobs and adding skills to their resume. ALU’s online platform is a major contributing factor to how the University is able to cut the expenses associated with most brick-and-mortar schools, while simultaneously providing flexibility to its working students.

About Abraham Lincoln University

ALU was established in 1996 as one of the first online law schools in the country, but more than a decade later the school has grown into an University offering programs in Business Administration, Criminal Justice, Information Technology, Legal Studies and General Studies.
