From August 19th to August 21st, the 2018 Lingtai International Symposium on Inheritance of the Academic Thoughts of THE CANON OF ACUPUNCTURE AND MOXIBUSTION and Huangfu Mi Culture Festival is solemnly held in Huangfu Mi’s hometown, Lingtai County of Gansu Province.

The opening ceremony is hosted by World Federation of acupuncture and Moxibustion Societies (WFAS)’s secretary general Ma Ying, China Association of Acupuncture and Moxibustion (CAAM)’s vice president and secretary general Yu Xiaochun, and Beijing Television’s famous host Xi Ou.

As the home of Huangfu Mi, the compiler of THE CANON OF ACUPUNCTURE AND MOXIBUSTION (Zhen Jiu Jia Yi Jing) which serves as a milestone in the early establishment of acupuncture and moxibustion, Lingtai places the inheritance of Huangfu Mi’s theories and practice as one of its top emphasis in terms of its local industrial development and poverty alleviation. The symposium and culture festival aim to invite more academic and business resources into Lingtai and promote its brand as “Home of Founder of Acupuncture and Moxibustion” to the whole world.

The opening ceremony announced the establishment of Lingtai Expert Workstation of the CAAM, Expert Workstation of Lingtai Huangfu Mi Traditional Chinese Medicine Hospital，Gansu Province TCM Training Base, and Pingliang Chinese Acupuncture Talent Training Base.

The symposium and culture festival is kindly co-organized and co-sponsored by the Health Communication Working Committee of the WFAS. The opening ceremony is directed by Zhang Juncheng, director of the Health Communication Working Committee of the WFAS and CEO of Keystone Culture. Thousands of foreign experts and government leaders attended the opening ceremony.
